Jason Kiely and Gita Saedi Kiely helped to start the 2nd Street Community Garden when they first moved to the neighborhood, gathering support from their neighbors, applying for grants, and turning what was a weed patch that had to be maintained by Public Works into a vibrant, growing space. The garden is surrounded by a beautiful native plant garden, a passion project of another neighbor and has an herb wheel and healthy compost system.
