Organic Gardening in Missoula: Weeds and Pests

  • Garden City Harvest 1657 River Road Missoula United States (map)

workshop details

Forgoing the use of pesticides and herbicides in your garden does not mean sacrificing your garden to pests and weeds. In fact, organic gardening practices go hand-in-hand with pest and weed management techniques that will benefit both your garden and the environment.

We are honored to host extension agents Steffany Rogge and Sandy Perrin for this detailed discussion on weed and pest management without the use of harmful chemicals.

Start with the basics of identification, participants will be introduced to the most common pests and weeds in the Missoula Valley. From there we will discuss prevention strategies and non-toxic treatment options. Participants are encouraged to bring their questions and experience to the conversation.

Your season in the garden need not be a battle with unwanted occupants. Join us for an evening of constructive conversation and set yourself up for a successful season!
