Do You Like Green Tomatoes and Ham?


I don’t think that’s an actual dish, but why not experiment now that you have a bumper crop of green tomatoes as a result of last week’s frost?  An abundance of green tomatoes may not be such a bad thing if you’ve ever tasted one.  Green tomatoes have a tang and crunch that red tomatoes do not.  Green tomatoes are also surprisingly versatile and go beyond being just fried.  Have you ever thought to make a green tomato pie?  What about a frittata?  Here are some recipes to help you deal with the onslaught of green tomatoes.  Enjoy!
