Thanks to all of you, we've moved!
Thanks to the community's generous support, we are in our new space at 1657 River Road. We really feel like we're home.
Please feel free to come by for a tour, a glass of wine, Blackfoot beer, or Western Cider and take a tour (and, later, square dance!) on May 5th! We'll have a scavenger hunt, seed ID, and chickens galore for the kids. (And art! And grinding wheat into flour! We've got kids entertained!) >>LEARN MORE<<
This new space means more for all of us -- you and me--not just our staff:
for teaching classes on cooking and food preserving, making food with friends and neighbors, bringing people together with food on another level.
The farmstead’s community space and commercial kitchen allow our gardeners, CSA members, volunteers, partners, staff, and the greater community to join us in growing, learning about, preparing and preserving whole foods.
This is one of the most sustainable buildings in the state of Montana: using double-wall construction, triple-pane windows, a solar array to offset the electrical needs of the site, reclaimed wood, and more.
Heated Indoor Space
This will allow us to work even when the snow flies. Whether it is teens learning job skills by cooking a meal for seniors or staff teaching new gardeners on how to start their seeds indoors.
We did all of this without sacrificing any growing space!
The Little House, where our administrative staff did so much with so little for so long, it was an institution, and this does feel a bit like the end of an era. And a beginning. Of so many things.
Hope to see you at the Grand Opening shinDIG and Square Dance on May 5th!
