This summer, Open AIR artist-in-residence Jim Diamondidis has been spending his days at River Road Farm — sketching, observing, and painting alongside our crops and growers. Now we're inviting you into that process. Join us at the Community Barn for an informal presentation and conversation with Jim about his work, his residency, and how a season on the farm has shaped his practice.
All are welcome, snacks provided, and there's no cost to attend. Registration isn't required, but it helps us plan — https://www.openairmt.org/events/jim-diamondidis-artist-presentation
About the Artist
Jim Diamondidis is an oil painter working at the intersection of realism and contemporary concept, with a practice grounded in close observation of local ecology. His current body of work grew out of time spent among community gardens — including his residency here at River Road Farm — and traces back to earlier years on a permaculture farm in Guatemala and leading backpacking trips through New Hampshire. Jim studied painting at Anne Arundel Community College, the Washington Studio School, and Harvard University, and his work has been shown throughout the Washington, DC area.
