Friends of the Harvest

Sustain our mission of building community through agriculture by making a three year pledge to our organization at $1,000 or more. Learn more about the benefits of being a sustaining donor by contacting Jean or call: 406-523-3663

Qualified Charitable Distribution

Simplify your giving. Directly transfer funds from your IRA to Garden City Harvest without paying income taxes. This gift can also count as your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) for the year.

Sponsor & Partnership

Invest your marketing dollars locally and directly connect with the community. Sponsor the Farm Party, Pumpkin party, or become a partner and help create a more food-secure Missoula. Learn more and contact Heather with questions.

Employer Match

Double your gift. Put the generosity of your employer into action. Check to see if your workplace matches employees’ charitable donations and double your gift.

Donor Advised Funds

Grow your impact. If you have a donor advised fund (DAF), consider making a grant recommendation to Garden City Harvest. Your gift will directly fund this important work that impacts 1 in 4 people in our community.

The Perennial Society

Help grow this work for generations to come. Consider making a planned gift, such as a bequest in your will or trust, beneficiary designation, or a charitable trust. Discuss these options with your financial or legal advisor and let us know your plans!

Gift of Stock

Invest in your community. Donate appreciated securities and avoid paying capital tax gains. Receive a charitable deduction for the full market value of the stock and other tax benefits. Please contact Jean for more information.

Tax Law Changes

Beginning in 2026: New tax laws will affect aspects of charitable giving.

Beginning in the 2026 tax year, tax-filers who claim the standard deduction can deduct up to $1,000 for individuals or $2,000 for joint filers. Contributions to qualified charities, up to those limits, can reduce your taxable income when calculating your AGI, BEFORE you take the standard deduction.
